The cypress is so beautiful with all of its different color hues.

Notice the cute little floor vents that we install in floors when they are close to the ground to prevent any major cupping.

These screened porch walls are built using aluminum spindles.

This is a great option if you are off the ground and want

a fairly unobstructed view of the backyard.

No screen yet, however, we do that after we paint. In case you are wondering

Day 11 & 12 were rain days- so not much to show but puddles.

You can’t see his head but Brad is hard at work putting up the skirting around the bottom of the porch. At this point we are waiting on electrical rough in and framing inspections.

Brad & Chuck built the landing and stairs today. The electricians came to rough in the electrical and the roofers shingled the roof. Lots of fun to be had out here today!!

Brad is a really awesome framer. Those guys had the roof on in no time. This porch has a hip roof. The framing of the hip roof looks really cool inside of the porch. The hip roof also helps keep weather off the porch on all sides.

By the end of day – voila the floor is framed. Brad & Chuck have constructed the floor framing on temporary legs because it is still too cold to pour concrete.
