Front porches are generally a small, formal affair: a place to pass through, but never to linger. Not this porch. It is oversized to accommodate plenty of comfortable seating. The beadboard ceiling and large, boxed columns are formal, but not pretentious. The front door is accented with a deep, rich stain and the broad brick steps invite you up. The "S" shaped spindles soften the porch. Come visit. Have some sweet tea. Linger here with me. I'm in no hurry.
