Rarely are we requested to build a porch wrapped around a Hackberry tree, but this tree is so old and beautiful and so visually important to the site, that the owners have gone to great lengths to preserve the tree... so there was no question that the porch would have to accommodate the tree with its limbs winding through the widow's walk railing on the roof. The porch is completely symmetrical and set apart from the home via a screened breezeway on one side, and an open breezeway on another. There are 6 skylights in the standing seam red metal roof. The ceiling has exposed rafters with the sheathing stained to accent the geometry of the framing. The oversized cushioned chairs say - "Come read, relax, and enjoy this beautiful oasis!"
